Administrator or Guardian

An administrator safeguards the financial or legal affairs of an adult who is unable to make such decisions due to disability.

A guardian makes personal lifestyle decisions for a person who is unable to make such decisions for themselves.

Does your matter pertain to:

  • Managing someone’s property
  • Paying someone’s bills
  • Buying things someone wants or needs
  • Someone’s living arrangements
  • Someone’s working arrangements
  • Someone’s medical treatment
  • Someone’s access to people
  • Someone’s access to services
  • Seek compensation when an administrator or guardian does the wrong thing
  • Compel someone to produce a will
  • Have your authority as an administrator or guardian recognised by another person or agency
  • Gaining access to documents in a case about adminstrators or guardians
  • Making documents confidential in a case about adminstrators or guardians

If so, ring us on 03 7022 6707.

We can also help in a reassessment of an order when it no longer works for the people involved.

Please note that we can also help if you seek a supportive role to help an adult with a disability act on their own decisions.
